About this world
Mine asteroids, settle planets, build miner, gunship and hauler hulls, and deploy stations while you trade with or battle 30 captains from 6 factions across four expanding rings of space. Defeat the six faction flagships in the Core to claim the Frontier.
How it plays
What you do
Fly your ship with the stick and hold FIRE: the laser auto-locks the nearest target in front of you, cracking asteroids and planets' surfaces into resource pickups or shredding enemy ships into salvage.
Your first win
Within about 30 seconds the player mines an asteroid near the home station and brings Iron back by docking, seeing 'First haul delivered'.
What you are chasing
Grow the Frontier: the universe expands in 4 rings (Home Belt, Ice Fields, Contested Nebula, Faction Core). Settle planets, build stations and ships, and defeat or trade with the 30 named captains from 6 factions. Beating the 6 faction flagships in the Core wins the campaign; Empire Score accumulates from deliveries, kills, trades, settlements and builds.
Controls
On a computer
WASD/arrows steer and thrust (ship turns toward the input direction), Space holds fire/mine, E docks/hails/settles when prompted, B opens the build menu while docked, Esc closes menus.
On a phone
Left thumb virtual joystick steers and thrusts, right thumb large FIRE button, a context button above it for Dock/Hail/Settle, and tap-friendly build menu cards; all within safe-area margins.
- Why play it again
- Captains, asteroid fields and planet resources are randomized each campaign, faction choices (trade vs destroy) change which sectors are safe, and players chase a higher Empire Score and faster Core victory.
- How it looks
- Deep-space navy (#1B3A6B fading to near-black) with a starfield and colored nebula clouds per ring; player ships and UI in ink #FBFAFC with accent #FF6B4A engine glows, warm #FFD23F for resources and highlights, cool #2D7DD2 for shields and friendly stations. Six faction tints distinguish enemies. Metallic hulls with emissive trims, one key light plus rim light, additive glows.
- Built for this world
- 10 3D models made for Starfront Frontier and nothing else.
